BEFS Ltd is a highly experienced provider of FRAEWs and EWS1 Certificates. In order to best serve the needs of our clients we sort our FRAEW & EWS Services into three categories; existing buildings, buildings in development stages, and buildings planning or in the process of remediation.
Development Inspection & Reporting
This is for buildings under construction.
We will carry out a desktop survey of your proposed design and advise you if it will be sufficient to gain a positive outcome on an FRAEW and, if necessary, an EWS1 survey. Following that, we will visit your site an agreed number of times to establish that the materials are as proposed, that they are used in the correct place, and that they are fitted per the manufacturer’s guidance.
Existing Inspection & Reporting
This is for existing buildings.
Following a desktop and initial survey to establish areas to check, we will intrusively survey the external wall of your building to ascertain the materials that make up the external wall. We will gather information and produce a FRAEW report. If necessary we can then sign an EWS1 per the RICS guidance.
Remediation Inspection & Reporting
This is for buildings that have been surveyed and are now being remediated to bring them up to standard and make them safe.
We will carry out a desktop survey of your proposed design and advise you if it will be sufficient to gain a positive outcome on an FRAEW and, if necessary, an EWS1 survey. Following that, we will visit your site an agreed number of times to establish that the materials are as proposed, that they are used in the correct place, and that they are fitted per the manufacturer’s guidance.
